Above: Governors Island ferry terminal at tip of Manhattan Island.

The ferry to Governors Island departs from the 1909 Battery Maritime Building, 10 South Street at the corner of Whitehall and South Streets, next door to the Staten Island ferry terminal in lower Manhattan.

The Battery Maritime Building is not in Battery Park. It is not the same location as the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Ferry. For more information, visit the National Park Service Governors Island web site.
