With the task force, he was a team leader in charge of federal agents, NYS Police investigators, and municipal police investigators. He rose through the ranks in various capacities and in 1991 he was appointed the undersheriff and chief administrative officer of his agency. In 1998 Harry was elected the Schenectady County Sheriff. Harry is a graduate of the State University of New York, Empire State College, with a bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He also holds a masters degree from Syracuse University in social science. He is married with three children.
