The following description of the NYC DOC's Gotcha Good Award is taken from Medal Day 2011 booklet Page 28: The “GOTCHA GOOD” award, launched this year for the first time at DOC, recognizes staff for doing the right thing on and off the job. These winners are the first to receive the “Gotcha Good” awards, but staff will be recognized with the “Gotcha Good” awards periodically all year long. DOC personnel can nominate their peers, supervisors or subordinates in recognition of big and small acts in the everyday performance of their job — or in the community. Among these first recipients are individuals who have done great work in sanitation, finding contraband, and tutoring their colleagues for promotional exams. Congratulations, all! DANETTE J. This New York Correction History Society (NYCHS) presentation features images derived from photos taken by NYCHS at the event as well as texts and images scanned by NYCHS from NYC DOC's Medal Day 2011 booklet distributed at the ceremonies. |
