Another part of the James A. Thomas Center appearing in the Rikers segment of Jails of New York in the NYCTV Original Productions "Secrets of NY" series is the former Central Punitative Segregation Unit (CPSU), where inmates who had been found after a hearing to have violated the rules were sent for a specific number of discplinary 23-hour lock-up days. The CPSU was also known as "The Bing."
