George Motchan Memorial Plaque from the former Kings County Hospital Prison Ward before it was refurbished for its placement and the rededication at the George Motchan Detention Center, Rikers Island. This image was made available to NYCHS by Motchan's son-in-law Bill Dory after the closing of the hospital prison ward. C. O. Jaroslaw Zysk of NYC DOC's Office of Public Information supervised the 2008 refurbishing of the 1975 plaque for its placement and the rededication at GMDC. |
