Sheriff Crowley
The 4 letters from the ‘jail builders’ company were its responses to an inquiry by Sheriff John P. Crowley in 1943-44 about changing the key and tumbler set-ups of the jail’s then existing locks.

jail locks, something Crowley
prudently wanted to explore early in his tenure.
He served as sheriff from 1942 through 1957.
